Baker of Kalamazoo, Mich., and 17 grandchildren." Submitted by: Bobby Jean Simkins ax2usn@yahoo.com Additional Comments: My grandmother, Harriet Stone (Reeves?) Simkins died shortly after her son and my father, Robert Cecil Simkins, was killed in a construction accident at the Maricopa County Office building on 2 August 1963. Before she died, she burned every family record, including birth and death certificates, Bibles, military documents, photos and mementos. Her parents' names likely were William and Margaret Stone of either Fox or Irvine in Estill County. She was widowed after her first husband, likely a Reeves, was killed in an election day argument, location unknown. She married my grandfather, Lester C. Simkins, in Lexington between 1913 and 1915. After many years of searching, I still do not know her mother's maiden name, nor do I have information on possible siblings or other family history. NOTE: The daughter 'Margaret' (only child of Reeves) listed in the obituary should be 'Marguerite.' This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
