John H. Singleton is a son of Rev. Benjamin Franklin Singleton (likely born in 
Harrison County, Indiana) and Martha Ann Allen (born in Brandenburg, Meade 
County, Kentucky).  He was born in Meade County, Kentucky, on 3 December 1856, 
and married Amanda J. Bennett in Meade County, Kentucky, on 22 April 1880.  The 
couple had (at least) 7 children.  The informant identified on the death 
certificate, Mrs. Edith Withers, is presumably their daughter Edith.
