Glasgow KY Times, unknown issue.
"DEATH ENDS SUFFERING OF MRS. GARNETT SLAYTON. Mrs. Garnett Slayton died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Sallie Peden, near Morrison Park, Sunday night after a long and painful sufering with complications that resulted from an injury to her knee received when she was thrown from a buggy about six years ago.

"She had been making her home in Sharpsburg, Ill., until about four months ago when she was brought to her mother's home here. Besides her husband, she is survived by two small children, a daughter six yers old, and a son three years old. One brother, Kirby Peden and two sisters, Mrs. James Marshall and Mrs. Haid McGuire also survive her. Her mother, Mrs. Sallie Peden, as the widow of the late Lewis Peden at whose home she died.

"Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday afternoon after which the remains were interred in the Glasgow cemetery."
