"The Death of Mrs. Ben L. Smith Last Monday. {Sallie A. Ritter). Mrs. Ben L.
Smith died at her home near Temple Hill Monday, following a stroke of paralysis
Sunday.

"Her husband, Mr. Ben Smith, one of the prominent men of the country, two sons,
Messrs. David and Ray Smith, one daughter, Mrs. Mike McGuire, all of the Temple
Hill section, survive. One sister, Mrs. Kincheloe, and two brothers, Messrs.
George and Fish Ritter, also survive.

"Mrs. Smith was in her sixties, was a member of the Christian church, and a
beautiful character, loved and respected by the whole community."

"Funeral was yesterday morning at ten o'clock and interment following in the
Peden burying ground."
