Josephine Spears

ROSELLE, Ill. -- Josephine Spears, 86, Roselle, Ill., formerly of Paoli,
died Friday in Roselle, Ill.

Born in Kentucky, she was the daughter of Luther and Molly (Butts)
Templeman. She married Dr. John K. Spears in 1938, and he preceded her in
death.

She was a retired nurse and had worked at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis,
and was a member of Paoli Presbyterian Church and Phi Beta Psi.

Surviving are one son, John Spears of Chicago, Ill.; two daughters: Mary
Lynn Mark and Karen Ann Spears, both of Roselle, Ill.; two brothers: Thomas
Templeman of Roachdale and Norris Templeman of California; four sisters:
Hortense Jewell and Ethel Bridges, both of Greencastle, Gertrude Heavin of
New Castle and Lou Goldsberry of Rusk, Texas; and one grandchild.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Stampers Creek
Cemetery, Paoli, with the Rev. Stan Fedyszyn officiating.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at Kemple Funeral
Home, Paoli.
