KY Deed Book A p. 309 Know all men by these presents that I William SPENCER of the County of Spencer and State of Kentucky for and in consideration of one hundred dollars in hand paid to me by William B. MURPHEY of the County of Shelby and state aforesaid have given granted bargained and sold the following property Towit: one house and lott in the Town of Taylorsville designated and known in the plan by Lott #59, one sorrell mare, two cows, two horse waggon or --- Harness four Feather beds, Bedsteads, furniture (more items but this part of the page is damaged)..... Provided nevertheless that the said William SPENCER stands justly indebted to teh said William B. MURPHY in the sum of one hundred Dollars in current Bank paper of this State bearing date 24 March 1825 and due twelve months thereafter, also in the further sum of one hundred dollars in Specie by note bearing date 11 July 1825 and due Twelve months thereafter now it is agreed that if the said William SPENCER my heirs, Executors admrs. or any other (?) shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the above sums of money within the twelve months this agreement shall be cease and be void.
