ServIces for  Mrs. Elsie  Irwin Spriggs were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 
26, 1982, at Dickerson Funeral Home, Burial was in  Concord Cemetery. 
Mrs  Spr:ggs, a  resident of the  Garrison  community. died at 9 a.m. Tuesday. 
Nov 23 at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, Ohio.. She was 87. 
A native  of Lewis County she was   born Jan  8, 1895, to the  late   Mr. and 
Mrs. Edward Irwin. She leaves her husband Cecil Spriggs of Garrison. 
 Other  survivors include two sons, Donald of Nevada. Ohio, and Jimmy of 
Garrson; eight daughters  , Mrs Mildred  Schreck and Mrs. Barbara Biddle of 
Callion. . Mrs. Helen Lambert, New Caledonia, Ohio , Mrs  Ethel Rushman of  
Mel­bourne. Ky , Mrs. Jane Walters of Garrison. Mrs. Allena Williams of 
Wheatland, Ind., Mrs Thelma DaWalt of Covington,  and Mrs Wilma Hodges of San 
Antonio, Tex. 
She was predeceased by four children George, Charles and Ralph and one 
daughter Edna Forman. 
Also Surviving are 42 grand­children; 25 great-granclchildren,  and several 
great-great-grandchildren.

of Martin, Ky. ( Quicks Run Area of Lewis County.)
