GUY HIGGINS SPRIGGS 

Guy Higgins Spriggs, of Concord died at his home at 5 a. m, Saturday, July 12, 
1986 after suffering a stroke. He was 86 years old. 
Mr. Spriggs was born March 18, 1900, in Rome, Ohio, a son of Charles and Cora 
Lighter Spriggs. He was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1924 and was a 
member of the Order of Ministers of the Florida Conference, the Junior Order 
of United American Methanics and was a 32nd degree Mason as well as a Kentucky 
Colonel. 
He is survived by his wife, Daisy Henderson Spriggs; two daughters, June 
Adkins of New Albany, Ohio; and Betty Syrus of Minford, Ohio; a brother, Cecil 
Spriggs of Vanceburg; four sisters, Merle Rupe of Milford, Ohio; Alma Moffett 
of Erlanger, Violet Copeland of Vanceburg and Ruth Stone of Florida. 
Services were held at 11 a. m. Tuesday, July 15, at the Barbour and Son 
Funeral Home, Tollesboro, Ky.  with Rev. Rick Grant and Rev. Frank Jones 
officiating. Interment was in the Woodmere Cemetery, Huntington, W. Va.
