Stearman, 2002, Boyle & Green Co. >From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 24 Dec 2002 Services for William "Bill" F. Stearman, 79, of Lisa Avenue will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Indian Hills Christian Church by the Rev. Otis Clark. He died Sunday at Thompson-Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore. Born May 18, 1923, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late Foster Ray and Myrtle Marcum Stearman. He was a grocer and antique dealer. He was a charter member and elder emeritus at Indian Hills Christian Church. He also was chairman of the church board and mission committee, a Sunday school teacher and charter member of Men for Christ. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Douglas Stearman; two daughters, Cheryl J. Stearman and Beverly K. Wolfe, both of Danville; a son, William Douglas Stearman of Lebanon, Tenn.; four brothers, David and Eudell Stearman, both of Hodgensville, Lee Stearman of Elizabeth- town and James Stearman of Greensburg; a sister, Rachel Conrad of Butler; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ben and Jeremy Wolfe, Kevin Stearman David Hoskins, and Bill and Melvyn Douglas. Honorary pallbearers will be elders and deacons of Indian Hills Christian Church, Hollis Perry and Garland Vest. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at the church. Stith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
