Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 24 June 1896.
"Mrs. Thos. Steffey died Friday morning, after a long illness with grippe. She 
was an excellent woman and a sincere Christian, fully prepared for the 
summons. She leaves a husband and two children, a son and daughter nearly 
grown. She was a favorite with her relatives and was beloved by all who knew 
her. She was buried to-day in the Walton Graveyard by the side of her 
daughter, Miss Lula Steffey, who died about two years ago. The heart-broken 
husband and children have the sincere sympathy of all in their great 
bereavement."
