Thomas H. Stone

PEKIN -- Thomas H. Stone, 74, Pekin, died at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday at
Washington County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Lietchfield, Ky., he was the son of William Henry and Ada Mae
(Rankins) Stone. He married Margaret Mae Jones Dec. 30, 1954 and she died
June 24, 1991.

He was a World War II Army veteran and retired farmer.

Surviving are two sons: James T. Stone and Martin J. Stone, both of Pekin;
four daughters: Nancy Taylor, Sharon Coats and Lynn McKinley, all of Pekin,
and Pat Coats of Borden; three brothers: Audra Stone of Monroe, Mich.,
Eugene Stone of Lansing, Mich., and William Stone of New Castle; two
sisters: Virginia Ellison of Monroe, Mich., and Mag Dugan of Lietchfield,
Ky.; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son; his parents; one sister and three
brothers.

Services will be at 12 p.m. E.D.T. Friday at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home,
Borden with Bro. Charles Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Mount
Moriah Cemetery near Henryville with graveside military rites accorded.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. until
the service Friday.
