Deed Bk C, p 79, 80 STONER; FRENCE; CAMP; POPE; MYERS; EDWARDS This Indenture made this fifteenth day of July Eighteen hundred and five between John STONER of Nelson County of the one part and Paul FRENCH of Hardin County of the other part. Witnesseth That the said John STONER for and in consideration of the Natural affection he has for his step son Paul FRENCH and for the further consideration of five shillings in hand paid by the said FRENCH the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged he the said STONER doth hereby give, grant and alien unto the said Paul FRENCH all that tract or parcel of Land lying in the County of Hardin on the north branch of Mill Creek and bounded as follows to Wit Begining at Rubin CAMPS southwest corner Two white oaks standing about fifteen poles from the said branch running thence South five degrees west Seventy poles to [blank] thence north Eighty five West seventy four poles to a line of George POPES settlement thence with his line north twenty five West three hundred poles to a sugar tree in MYERS line thence with his line north Eighty five East one hundred and Eighteen poles to a white & Black oak MYERS corner thence north Eighty five East one hundred and forty poles to a large white oak corner to the said CAMPS Survey thence with the same South five degrees west one hundred and forty Seven poles to the beginning to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land to the quantity more or less to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Paul FRENCH together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and he the said STONER doth further Covenant to and agree with the Said FRENCH to Warrant and forever defend the said tract or Parcel of land to the said FRENCH and his heirs from the claim or claims of him the said STONER and his heirs and from any person claiming under them but not from any other Claims whatsoever And it is Clearly understood that if one Prior or better claim show, hereafter take all or any Part of the said land from the sd FRENCH The the said STONER is not bound to make good any part thereof or pay any Value therefore In testimony whereof he the said STONER hath hereunto set his hand and Seal the day and date first above written John STONER [seal] Hardin County Sct 2nd August 1805 This day the within named John STONER came in his proper person before me and acknowledged the within Indenture of Bargain and Sale as and for his act and Deed.
