OBITS: Whaley & connected families Page 4, LOG CABIN, Friday, 1 December 1911 Mrs. Janie RANKIN STROUSE, wife of Mr. Eli STROUSE, of Lair, died at the Harrison Hospital of tuberculosis Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Christian Church, conducted by Rev. J. R. JONES. The burial took place at Battle Grove Cemetery. Mrs. STROUSE was the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Berry RANKIN, of Berry, and was 28 years of age. She married Mr. Eli STROUSE five years ago. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and a consistent member. She is survived by her husband and one little son, not quite two years of age; by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Berry RANKIN, of Berry, one sister, Mrs. Ewalt HALEY, of Bourbon County; and eight brothers, Samuel, of Oklahoma; Elizie, Thomas J., of Melvin, O., Jas.
