William M. 'Bill' Sturgeon, age 85 of McQuady,KY died Wednesday,2-21-2007 at Hardin 
Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown,KY. He was born in Rome,IN on 9-22- 1921, the son 
of the late William Harrison Sturgeon and Florence Bolin Sturgeon. He was a WWII Army 
veteran, a member of English Baptist Church, a retired farmer who enjoyed baseball,
hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband,father and grandfather
 
Mr. Sturgeon was preceded in death by a son - Marion Lee Sturgeon
 
He is survived by his wife Mildred Brown Sturgeon who he married 7-4-1940.
Survivors include: 7 daughters: Betty(Joe) Sturgeon of Owensboro,KY Linda Whitworth of 
Hardinsburg,KY Margie (Joe) Ammons of McQuady,KY Doris Dupin of Elizabethtown,KY Diana 
(Randal) Mercer of Leitchfield,KY Patricia (Aubert) Freeman of Mt. Washington,KY Billie 
Sue (Greg) Hodges of Vine Grove,KY
2 sons: Gordon(Brenda) Sturgeon - Leitchfield,KY Wayne (Susie) Sturgeon - Bardstown,KY
1 son-in-law: J.C. Dupin of Leitchfield,KY
1 sister - Mildred (Tommy) Schaeffer - Tell City,IN

Funeral services will be held on Saturday,2-24-2007 at 2PM at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home 
in Hardinsburg,KY with Rev. Ken Stiff officiating. Burial will be in the English Baptist 
Church Cemetery with military honors provided by Hardinsburg VFW Post 5831. Visitation 
will be held on Friday from 3-8PM and after 8:30AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial 
contributions are requested
to: American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
