Christopher Michael Sturgill, 25, was born in Red Bird on May 31, 1978 the son of Linda Sturgill Smith. He had been a coal truck driver for B&M Trucking and had attended Bell County High School. Survivors include his mother, Linda Smith, brothers and sister, Felix Bryant, Joshua Bryant and Nicki Smith, step-fathers, Joey Smith and Stewart Bryant, grandarents, Mitchell and Beth Sturgill and Jessie Bryant and the late Cordia Bryant. Christopher was greatly loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family ad friends. Amanda Renee’ Sturgill, 21, was born in Red Bird on March 2, 1982 the daughter of Vernon Lewis and Teresa Lawson Chadwell. She had been a homemaker and had attended Red Bird Mission School. Amanda and Christopher had been married for five years. Survivors include her parents, brothers and sisters, Eric, Melissa, Wendy, Scott, Kevin, Kendra and Jeffrey Lewis; foster parents, Mark and Rebecca Smallwood, foster brother and sister, Nate and Leah; grandmother, Lottie Morgan. Amanda was greatly loved by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Michael Austin Sturgill, 4, was born in Manchester on August 24, 1999, he attended Early Childhood Development at Red Bird Mission School. Robert Madison Sturgill, 3, was born in Pineville on August 19, 2000. Jordan Ryan Sturgill, 18 months, was born in Pineville on June 16, 2002. They all belonged to the Beverly United Methodist Church. Survivors include their maternal grandparents, Teresa Chadwell and Vernon Lewis, paternal grandparents, Linda Smith, Joey Smith and Stewart Bryant, foster grandparents, Mark and Rebecca Smallwood, great-grandparents, Lottie Morgan, Mitchell and Beth Sturgill and Jessie Bryant. They were greatly loved by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Services will be at 11:30 AM Thursday at the Beverly United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck Jack and Rev. Vernon Stewart. Burial was in the Upper Asher Fork Cemetery, Asher Fork. Pallbearers for Amanda were Eric, Scott, Kevin and Herman Lewis, Doug Lawson and James Grubb. Pallbearers for Christopher were Felix Bryant, Joshua Bryant, James Sturgill, Eddie Sturgill, Brandon Collett and Anthony Smith. Arrangements were by the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
