"On Sunday evening, the 6th inst., Mrs. Fannie H. Summers departed this life after a very painful illness of a few days, consequent on a chronic condition of bad health for several months. "The deceased was about thirty-three years of age; having been married about five years, and leaves an affectionate and sorrowing husband and three beautiful little children, and many kind relatives and friends to mourn her loss. "True and devoted as a wife, and a tender, loving mother, she made home that bright and happy sanctuary that becomes the pleasant vocation of the refined lady -- all was love, joy and prosperity there. "Kind and unselfish in her nature she made every one happy who was fortunate enough to be in her society. Those who knew her best loved her the most, "and none knew her but to love her, and none named her but to praise." "She was [a] zealous, consistent member of the Baptist church, and died in the hope of her sins all forgiven through the merits and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ; leaving her family to Him who tempereth the wind the shorn lamb, willing herself to depart and be at rest. "The pale messenger seemed to her to be in sight and nearing his victim, then tightening his sure and steady hold upon the vital of life, she was soon borne to that far off home where all is joy and peace, and all suffering is ended. "Death to her was a sweet deliverer. When he came he could bring no terrors with him, butlighted up like a gleam of sunshine, the pallid features of her cold marble face as the angels wafted her to her immortal dwelling place. "We offer our heartfelt sympathies to her faithful and bereaved husband in this bitter hour of his deepest distress, and invoke the blessings of Providence on him and their little ones."
