In the name of God Amen. I James Sutton of the County of Ohio and State of 
Kentucky being sick and weak in body and being in my right mind and of 
disposing memory and being desirous to dispose of all such worldly estate as it 
has <?> God to bless me with I give and bequeath the same in maner following 
that is to say I give my land and all of my personal estate of every kind to my 
son James except ten dollars which I give to Eliga my youngest son provided 
James takes care of my wife during her natural life or widder hood and provided 
further that if Eliga stays and works for James and his mother till he is 
eighteen years of age that James pays Eliga one hundred dollars at that time 
and gives him eighteen months schooling and provided further that James gives 
Margaret his youngest sister a common schooling and that each and every one of 
my children have one dollar each to come out of my present crop and all of 
everything as above written into go to my son James except one dollar to John 
and one dollar to Sarah and one dollar to Martha and one dollar to Polly Ann 
and one dollar to Margaret and one dollar to my wife and lasteley I do hereby 
appoint and constitute David G. Ford and Ishmael Sutton executors of this my 
last Will and Testament hereby revoking all others or former wills in witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affexed my seal this the Twenty-First 
day of March 1842.

proved by the oaths of John Midkiff a subscribing witness thereto and ordered
