Mr. Tackett was logging with his son and collasped on a roadway leading out of a hollow. Services were held ar Wright's chapel, Garrison at 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Clarence Hall and the Rev. Joe Walters, officiated and burial was in the Skidmore Cemetery. Mr. Tacett was born in Pike county on June 23, 1921, and was the son of the late Will and Martha Music Tackett. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, who saw duty in World War II and he was at one time, a coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vada Cole Tackett, and six children, who are Teddy, Parnell , Walt, and Fitzgerald of Garrison, Deborah Sullivan and Tenna Tackett, also of Garrison; He also leaves four brothers and three sisters who are Rans Tackett of Maysville, Acie Tackett of Melvin, Ky., Mid Tackett of Garrison and Raymond Tackett of Whitleyville, Tennessee, Mrs Freeman Mashburn of Quincy, Mrs Verta Tackett of Detroit and Mrs Marie Diprima of Spencer Port, N.Y. Among other survivers are four grandchildren. The Dickerson Funeral Home were in charge of the arrangements.
