He was born in Ingram on November 10, 1943 the son of the late Noah and Clara Frances Johnson Taylor. He was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and had been a school bus driver for the Bell County School System. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Ruby Blevins Taylor, children, Vernon and Katie Taylor, LeAnn Taylor, Jeff Taylor and Michael and Sharon Bolton; grandchildren, Mary Kaitlyn, Angel Danielle, Bethany LeAnn and Michael Noah; sisters Naomi and James Gambrel and Barbara Sue and Herb Mays; brothers, Clifford Eugene and Chris Taylor, Walter and Peggy Taylor, John and Thelma Taylor and Rufus and Joan Taylor; his uncle, Paul Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Services were Sunday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Truman Partin and Rev. Keith Bays. Music was by Dessie Centers, Jimmy Thompson Family and the Ebenezer Church Choir. Burial followed in the Golden Cemetery at Ingram. Pallbearers were nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers were Ray Lawson, Mark Hoskins, Shella Gibson, Junior Jones and Staff at Britthaven of Pineville.
