Know all men by these presents that I John Thurman have this day bargained and 
sold to Thomas Willis in consideration of four hundred dollars the twenty two 
acres of land near old Milford the same I purchased from John Crooke to have 
and to hold to said Willis and his heirs forever.

The above is subject to this condition that whereas said Willis has this day 
entered my security to Val Whites executor for this sum of three hundred and 
seventy seven dollars and eighty-two and a half cents payable 14 Feb 1835.  
Now when the above responsibility is discharged by Thurman and Willis saved 
harmless then this is to be void.  18 February 1834
