Deed Bk A, p 251, 252 MADISON; SMITH; TINSLEY; FIELDS; STRIEB; BALEY; McGRADY; BARNET; TAYLOR; PAUL This Indenture made this seventeenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven and ninety six Between Gabriel MADISON and Miriam MADISON his wife of the one part and John SMITH who is assign of James TINSLEY of the one part Witnesseth that the said Gabriel MADISON and Miriam his wife for and in Consideration of the sum of three pounds General and Lawfull money of Kentucky to him in hand paid the receipt thereof he doth Hereby acknowledge have Bargained and sold and by these presents do Bargain and sell unto the said John SMITH one half acre Lot of Land in the Town of Hartford. And three out lots of three acres Each ajoining said Town (Towit) one free Lott No sixty five Bounded by the Publick Square Aquila FIELDS Liberty STREIB and Michael BALEYS Lott ____ ___ _____.
