OBIT: Triplett, 1931, Montgomery & Bath Cos John Rose Triplett was the husband of Mary Vivia Whaley, dau of Benjamin and Jane Bush Whaley, Benjamin was the son of John and Charity Clark Whaley. Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, Tues April 14 1931: AGED MAN DIES John Rose Triplett, a retired farmer, died Thursday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Perry Flora, North Maysville Street, following a several weeks' illness. Mr Triplett celebrated his eighty-fourth birthday last December. He is surrived by a daughter: two sons, Dr. W. B. Triplett, Montgomery County, and Howard Triplet, Lexington, and two brothers, Thomas F. and Clay Triplett, Mt Sterling. Funeral services were held at the Flora home at 10 o'clock Saturday morning by the Rev. John E. Moss. Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery at Sharpsburg. Mr Triplett was a life long member ofthe Methodist Church and for a long time served as superintendent of the Sunday school at Sharpsburg.
