TRIPLETT, 85, DIES AT GRAND RIVERS Grand Rivers, Ky., Jan. 13---John M. Triplett, 85, died at 3:50 a.m. today at his home here. He was a retired employee of the Illinois Central Railroad. Born in Smithland, Mr. Triplett had been a resident of Grand Rivers since 1918. He was employed for many years as a ledgewood engineer. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist church, Iuka. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Nannie Triplett; two sons, Virgil Triplett, Grand Rivers, and Claude Triplett, Paducah; three daughters, Mrs. Doris Hancock, Princeton, and Mrs. Annie Lunch and Mrs. Evalyn Campbell, Paducah; 33 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Grand Rivers Methodist church with the Rev. J. Bottoms officiating. Burial will be in Dixon cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
