Goheen presiding judge of the Marshall County Court pursuant to law did this day proceed to settle with T.P. Chapman guardian of Levi Tucker and upon examination i find available assets in the hands of said guardian amounting to four hundred and four dollars and 82 cents interest included according to law from the 4th day of September 1850 to the 18th day of April 1853. Also there appears from the report of said guardian to be one negro slave in his hands valued to one hundred dollars making an amount total of five hundred and four dollars and 82. Subject to ?ancaits which will more fully appear from the following vouchers (to Wit) Fee to Clerk for recording settlement .............$1.25 Presiding Judge for this settlement................$1.50 Administrator at 5 per cent ...........................$25.25 total charges..................................................$28.00 and upon examination i find that the total expenses of this settlement and the guardian's commission amounts to twenty eight dollars which i deducted from the above amount of assets which would leave four hundred and seventy six dollars & 82 cents in the guardians hands but he herewith files a receipt in full of all demands against him as such guardian, signed by his said ward towit Levi Tucker and attested by Daniel Cross dated the 18th day of April 1855. Gilbert Clerk of the County Court of same county do certify that at a county court began and held at the court house in Benton within and for said county on Monday the 3rd day of September last, this report of a settlement with T.P. Chapman guardian of Levi Tucker was produced in open court, noted and ordered to be filed to lie over for exceptions; and that at a County Court began ?vs as aforesaid on Monday the 1st instant, said report was again exhibited in open court and no exceptions having been filed or manifested thereto it was approved and ordered to be recorded in testimony of which and that said report and this certificate have been and now stand truly recorded in my office i here to set my hand the 8th day of October 1855 J.C.
