OBIT: Ida Phillips Tungate, 1970 Jefferson & Taylor Co.

Mrs. Ida Phillips Tungate, 32, of 754 South Preston St., Louisville,
daughter of the late Paul Phillips and Mary Cox Minor of Louisville, was
born in Taylor County, April 30, 1935.  She died at the General Hospital in
Louisville at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday July 7, 1970.
She united in marriage to Douglas Tungate August 10, 1953.  To this union
five sons were born.  Donald preceded his mother in death Dec. 17, 1963.
Surviving are Paul Douglas, Gerald Willis, Timothy Lynn and James William.
Besides her husband and children, she is also survived by her mother, Mrs.
Mary Minor of Louisville and one sister, Mrs. Paula Hays of Clarksville,
Indiana.  Also survived by three half-brothers and one half-sister:
Michael, William and Ronnie Minor and Mrs. Ellen Shackelton all of
Louisville.  The following step-brothers and sisters also survive:  Mr.
Handley Minor of Route 1, Campbellsville, Mr. Rodford Minor of Michigan,
Mrs. Nell McGee of Louisville and Mrs. Louise Mann of Mannsville.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 9th in the Parrott and Ramsey
Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Harlen Singleton with burial in
Brookside Cemetery.
Pallbearers were:  Jessie Tungate, Edward Hickerson, Lewis Whitley, Handley,
Kenneth and Paul Minor.
