Vance.Robert.1906.Mercer-Jefferson-Shelby.OBIT



                Mr. Robert Vance, father of Mr. Truman Vance, at one time
head of the Y.M.C.A. work in this county, died last week at his home in
Shelbyville. Mr. Vance was a native of Jefferson county, and was a popular
man there. He served four terms as sheriff of that county.
