KY Deed Bk A p. 49 This Indenture made the twenty seventh of January one thousand seven hundred and ninety five between John GLEN and Abigail his wife of Hardin County and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Joseph VANMETER son of Nathan VANMETER of Berkley County and Commonwealth of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John GLENN and Abigail his wife for and in consideration of the sum of twenty pounds to them in hand paid by the said Joseph the receipt where of they do acknowledge have given granted Bargained and sold and by these presents do give grant Bargain and sell unto the said Joseph a Certain tract of Land sitaute in the County of Hardin affore said and bounded as followeth Beginning at a Hickory on the north bank of Nolin Creek Corner to Thomas GILLILAND's one hundred acre survey thence with the Line of the Same North twenty degrees East three hundred poles to a stake thence with a line of the said GILLILAND's Survey North seventy degrees West fifty one degrees and a half to a stake thence North twenty degrees East two hundred and Eighty poles to MONTGOMERY's Corner thence south Seventy degrees East one hundred and five poles and an half to a stake thence south twenty degrees west four hundred and fifty four poles to two Beeches on the bank of Nolin thence down the Creek with the meanders binding on the Middle of the Stream to the Beginning containing by estimation two hundred and sixty two acres To have and to hold the said tract a parcel of Land with its appurenances to the said Joseph and his heirs forever and the said John and Abigail his wife the said tract of Land will for ever warrant and defend against all and every claim or claims whatsoever In Witness Testemoney where of they have here unto set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
