I will my body to the silent tomb and my soul to the God who gave it. 2nd. After the payment of all my debts,I dispose of my property and estate as follows,to-wit: I will that the wife and heirs of F.J. Gilbert,deceased,have all the land deeded to them,known by the rest of the heirs,which land and property &c, amounts to $3550.00. 3rd. I have given to Mary Jane and Silas Woodsen,heirs of my daughter,Sarah McRoberts,$1780.00,which is all I intend for them to have of my estate,either in life or after my death. 4th. I have given to my daughter,Martha Woodsen and her heirs $3868.00 which is all I intend for them to have of my estate except John Woodsen(sp),one of the heirs. I desire for him to have $300.00 of my estate to be paid to him if he is ever heard of or calls for it by lawful power of Attorney. I reserve the right to give the balance of the heirs of Martha Woodsen what I choose during my life time,but after my death,they are to have nothing more. 5th. I have given to Abijah Gilbert the land on which he lives and property to the amount of $3000.00. 6th. I give to my son Joseph S.Gilbert,the farm on which I live agreeable to the promise mentioned in an article given him. Also my black boy called Bill. the above property estimated at $3300.00. 7th. I give to my daughter and son Nancy Hopper and Black Grove Hopper the place on which they now live and all the out surveys attached to it. Also a black girl called Mariah with her increase. The above property estimated at $2400.00. 8th. I desire at my death my estate to be equally divided amongst my four heirs. Viz: F.J.Gilberts heirs,Abijah Gilbert,Joseph S.Gilbert,and Nancy Hopper,and to be accounted for agreeable to the amounts mentioned in my will above. Also each of the four above named heirs is to account for the notes and receipts I hold against them. I also desire the above named heirs to make a fair settlement and equal distribution without having any sale. Given under my hand and seal this the 19th. day of August,1860.
