Waddle April 23, 1860 Warren County KyArchives Deed Written: April 23, 1860 Recorded: April 23, 1860 Warren County, Kentucky Deed Book 28, pages 573-574 This Indenture made this 23d day of April 1860 by and between George J. Waddle and his wife Margaret Waddle of the first part and Hezekiah J. McGinnis of the 2d part all of Warren County, Kentucky. Witnesseth Whereas the party of the 1st part for and in Consideration of the Sum of twelve hundred dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and Sold and by these presents doth Sell unto the party of the Second part a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Warren County by and on the Waters of Gasper river and being the place on which George J. Waddle lately lived and on which Walter Brooks now lives and bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at 2 hickories one down South East Corner of the Original Survey thence with one of its lines N11E true Course N11-3/4E 57 poles to the intersection of a line of Edward Boses[?] 1,000 acres Military Survey thence with a line of Said Survey N1W 19 poles to a planted Stone in Said line thence N30W 45 poles to 4 Small Sycamores on the South Side of a creek thence down Said Creek N51E 26 poles to a honey locust Standing in the Creek on a line of the aforesaid Military tract of land thence with Said line N1W 14 poles to a planted Stone in Said line where Moses Taylor intersects Said line thence with Said Moses Taylor Original line of which this is a part N77-3/4W 75 poles to a large Poplar in a Small ravine Corner to James B. Taylor thence with his line S10E 20 poles to a white walnut another of Said Taylors Corners thence with another of his lines S81-1/2W 128 poles to the Original line of Moses Taylors Survey and Corner to Said James B. Taylor thence with Said line S10W 46 poles to a hickory dogwood and 2 Small beeches marked as pointers about 4 poles South of the Creek thence with the Original line of Said Moses Taylor S80E 30 poles now 19 poles to Stone thence S16E 73 poles to a hickory Stump an original corner thence with the Original line S80E true Course S79-3/4E 150 poles to the beginning containing 176-3/4 acres more or less. To have and to hold the above conveyed tract or parcel of land to the said party of the 2d part his heirs and assigns forever with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and we the said parties of the first part do hereby bind ourselves our heirs &c to Warrant and defend the right and title to the above described tract of land against the claim or claims of all and every persons whatsoever in testimony whereof we have hereunto Set our hands and Seals this day and date above written.
