She was the widow of David Reed Martin and the mother of Vernon Eugene Martin, and Theodore Roosevelt Martin both born in Gray, Knox County, Kentucky.

She married Louis Benjamin Striebel on March 24, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, and they had a daughter, Bernice Christine Striebel, on December 15, 1923 in Cleveland
