Paula Berry Hampton West Virginia HARRISON COUNTY, KENTUCKY DEED BOOK 3 PAGE 197 This indenture made this 7th day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between William Cartmill of the one part and John Ward both of the County of Harrison and Commonwealth of Kentucky, of the other part. Witnesseth that the said William Cartmill for and in consideration of the sum of forty eight dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and forever acquit and discharge the said John Ward his heirs and assignes forever, a certain tract or parcell of land lying, situate and being in the County of Harrison on the waters of Flat Run and bounded as follows, To Wit: Beginning at a Buckeye and running thence South 63 degrees, East 12 poles to two small ash trees, thence South 30 degrees, West 46 poles to an ash and sugartree, thence West 13 poles and three fourths to a honey locust, thence North 29 degrees, East 81 and half poles to the Beginning. Containing by survey five and three fourth acres. Which said tract or parcell of land together with the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining he the said William Cartmill doth by these presents warrant and forever defend to the said John Ward his heirs & from the property claim or claims or demands of any person or persons whatsoever claiming the same and this shall in all respect be considered as a ? general ward only deed.?
