Deed Bk A, p134, 135 WARFORD; COX; CRAIG This Indenture made and Concluded upon this 16th day of December in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety Three David WARFORD of the County of Shelby and state of Kentucky of the one part and John WARFORD of the aforesaid County and State of the other part. Witnesseth that the said David WARFORD for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds Current Money of Kentucky to him in hand paid by the said John WARFORD the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said David WARFORD Granted Bargained and sold aliened and Confirmed and by these presents doth grand Bargain and allinate and Confirm unto the Said John WARFORD his Heirs and assigns the full quantity of six hundred acres of Land Situate on SIMPSONs Creek in Nelson County and Land aforesaid the same to be laid of as Followeth To Wit Beginning at a lick and Running down the Creek on the East Side for quantity beginning at a large poplar on a Hill side on the south side of an East Branch of Simpsons Cre ek Corner to Patrick McGUS preemption Running from thence South Eighty degrees West three Hundred and Twenty poles to whiteoak and Red oak standing by a small branch of Simpsons Creek, thence south ten degrees East three hundred poles to a Sugar tree and ash thence North Eighty degrees East three hundred and twenty poles to a stake in McGUS preemption line thence with said line North ten degrees west Three Hundred poles to the Beginning To have and to hold the said Six hundred acres of land and all and Singular the Premises above mentioned and every part and parsel thereof with all its appurtenances thereon belonging unto the Said John WARFORD his hairs and assigns to the only use and help of him the said John WARFORD his Heirs and assigns forever and he the said David WARFORD do promise for himself and his executors administrators and assigns do Warrant and defend the said Six hundred acres of Land and premises and every part thereof against themselves his Heirs and assigns in Wi tness whereof I hereunto set my hand and Seal this day and year above Written Signed Sealed and delivered David WARFORD [seal] in presence of Test David COX At a court held for Shelby County January 21st day 1794 This Indenture was acknowledged by within named David WARFORD to be his act and Deed and ordered to be Recorded Teste James CRAIG clk Submitted by: Anne Livingston kybullittanne@yahoo.com This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
