A native of this county, she was a daughter of the late James and Georgia Cutright Riddle, born September -- 1972. Until recent years she had spend the greater part of her life in this county. She was a member of the White Oak Christian Church. Besides her son, J A Whaley, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Blanch Carpenter and Mrs. Grace Reynolds, both of Ashland; two sons, Espy H and Lucian R, Whaley, both of this county; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Henderson, Harrodsburg, Mrs. I B Starks, Paducah, and Mrs. Zelia Whitton, Owingsville; fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. Emma Barnes on East Main Street Wednesday afternoon, April 17, at 1:00 o'clock conducted by the Rev A F Shields and the Rev George C Frey. Interment was in the family lot in Owingsville Cemetery. Pallbearers were J T Whaley, LaRue Warner, Irvin Reynolds, Timothy Whaley, Talmage Whaley, Marvin Whitton and Joe Moxley.
