Kentucky Deputy Sheriff Wounded Across Tug River

   Williamson, W. Va., Dec. 9 -- "Eb" Whit, a Pike county, Ky., deputy
sheriff, was shot and seriously wounded in the coal strike district across
from Tug river from Williamson Tuesday night.  Henry Sizemore, an employee
of the Black Diamond Coal Company was being sought by the authorities in
connection with the shooting.
