ELMER WHITEHEAD
 
    Elmer Whitehead, 76, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Friday, November, 28, 
2003 at his daughter's home.  He was born in High Splint, KY on January 5, 
1927, son of the late Taylor and Catherine Caldwell Whitehead.  He had worked 
at Ritter Lumber Company and had owned and operated Whitehead Saw Mill at 
Stoney Fork.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Bonnie Lou 
Whitehead.
    Survivors include his children, Wilma Whitehead and Leon Ogan of Arjay, 
Alice Caldwell of Pineville, Bernice Harris of Irvine, TX, Fred Whitehead of 
Stoney Fork, Janice and Wayne Whalen of Richmond, KY, Betty Whitehead Elrod of 
Hodgenville, KY, Taylor Whitehead of Grapevine, Texas and Ronnie Whitehead of 
Ingram, KY, former wife, Virgie Whitehead; twelve grandchildren, eleven great- grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Fred Whitehead of Harrogate, Hurley 
Whitehead of Speedwell, Taylor Whitehead, Jr., of LaPorte, IN, Emmel 
Whitehead, John Whitehead, Rubin Whitehead, Oma Taylor, and Mary Ann Whitehead 
all of Stoney Fork and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
    Services were Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. 
Randy Duncan and Rev. George Neal.  Burial was in the Whitehead Cemetery at 
Bledsoe.  Pallbearers were family and friends.
    Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville, was honored to serve the 
Whitehead Family.
