Murry L. Whitworth, 80, Big Spring, died Feb. 6, 2008, at his residence. He was born May 4, 1927, in Breckinridge County, the son of the late Willis Whitworth and Eliza Carmen. 

He was a truck driver with Overnight, Louisville, and a farmer. 

Mr. Whitworth is survived by his wife, Ruby; a son, David L. Whitworth, Big Spring; three grandsons; two brothers, Willis Whitworth Jr., Hartford, and Frank Whitworth, Hardinsburg; six sisters, Dorothy Jean Bowles and Louise Sharp, both of Virginia, Joann Brockman, Indiana, Rose Bundick, Maryland, and Betty Tingle and Sherline Brenzel, both of Louisville. 

Funeral services were held Feb. 9 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Rev. John Vaught officiating. Burial was in High Plains Cemetery. 
Pallbearers were David L. Whitworth, Derick Whitworth, Craig Woods, Richard Minter, Bill Whitworth and Franklin Whitworth.
