"The Passing of a Fine Lady. Mrs. Susan Bell Wilkinson was one of the finest women of the county; Interment was in Peden burying ground. Mrs. Susan Belle Wilkinson, age 85, died Sunday morning at her home near Temple Hill. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mrs. Wilkinson had been an invalid several years. "Surviving are the following children: Mr Frank Wilkinson, Temple Hill; Mr John Wilkinson, of this place; Miss Mary E. Wilkinson, of Lindsay, Cal., Mr. Titus Wilkinson, of Lindsay, Calif; and Messrs L. B. and M. R. Wilkinson, both of this county. A sister, Mrs. J. E. Wright, near town, and a brother, Mr. Sam Harlin, of Temple Hill, also survive. "Mrs. Wilkinson was widow of the late Mr. "Billy" T. Wilkinson, one of the strongest, finest men Barren county ever knew. He preceded Mrs. Wilkinson to the grave thirty-one years ago. Mrs. Wilkinson, a woman of unusual character, and of high type of womanwood, was a member of the Christian church. She was a consecrated christian, and true and loyal to family and friend. She was universally loved, because of her exemplary life. Truly a saintly woman has been called to her reward. "Funeral was Sunday at the Christian church at Temple Hill conducted by Bro J. D. Smith; burial in the Peden burying ground."
