He is survived by: two daughters: Mrs. Georgia BURTON of El Paso, Illinois (lies in Woodford & McLean Counties) Mrs. Laura MEADOR of Gridley, Illinois (McLean County) one son: James W. WILLIS of Rockvale, Ky three sisters: Mrs. Mattie ASHLEY of El Paso, Illinois Mrs. Lillie FINLEY of Hawesville, Ky (Hancock County) Mrs. Daisy MORRIS of Vanzant, Ky (Breckinridge County) one 1/2 sister: Mrs. Alliene THORPE of Grandview, Indiana (Spencer County) six 1/2 brothers: Ballard WILLIS of Miami, Florida (Miami-Dade County) George WILLIS of East Point, Georgia (Fulton County) Church WILLIS of Gas City, Indiana (Grant County) Russell WILLIS of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County) Augustine WILLIS of Missouri 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 28, 1961 from the Macedonia Baptist Church near Rockvale, Ky, and burial was in the church cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home of Fordsville in Ohio County was in charge of arrangements. Approximately 3/5 of a mile south of Rockvale in south west Breckinridge County. (The locals call it "The Ridge Church". WILLIS, Joseph C. 2 Jan 1877 -- 26 Oct 1961 I could not identify his wife in volume 1 (published in 1991), or volume 2 (published in 1997), of the Breckinridge County Cemetery Books.
