Deed Bk C, p 61, 62 This Indenture made this nineteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and five Between Richard J. MUNFORD of the one part and John WILSON of the other part both of Hardin County and State of Kentucky. Witnesseth that the said Richard J. MUNFORD for and in consideration of the sum of Twenty pounds paid in a horse at trade rates to him in hand paid by the said John WILSON the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the Said John WILSON his Heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of Land lying situate and being in the County aforesaid on Green River and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at said Munfords upper corner on Green River a white oak Spanish oak and Hickory thence with his line South seventeen Degrees west two hundred and seventy four poles to three lard Black ash trees on the West side of a creek being a corner of the survey where Richard J. MUNFORD now lives thence a line of the same South Seventy degrees west Twenty four poles to three post oaks thence south seventeen East two hundred and seventy Eight poles to an ash two hickorys and Mulberry on the bank of the river thence up the same twenty eight poles to the Beginning containing by estimation Forty five acres be the same more of less with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of Land with all the advantages appertaining thereto unto the said John WILSON his heirs and assigns forever and the said Richard J. MUNFORD for himself and his heirs doth covenant and agree with the said John WILSON his heirs and assigns that he the said Richard J. MUNFORD will warrant and forever defend the title to the aforesaid tract of land unto the said John WILSON his heirs and assigns to the amount of twenty pounds to be paid without Interest on horse at trade rates in case the said land should be lost by any prior or better claim In Witness whereof the said Richard J. MUNFORD hath hereunto Set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Richard J. MUNFORD came in his proper person before me Benjamin HELM Clerk of the COunty Court of the County aforesaid and acknowledged the within Indenture of Bargain and Sale as and for his act and deed and at the request of John WILSON the grantee herein I have truly recorded the same in my office the day of the date aforesaid.
