His death was sudden and unexpected. His wife, Lola Wilson, Survives./ He was born May 10, 1900, in Wayne County, a son of the late Elihu Wilson and Eliza Maxwell Wilson. He lived most of his lifetime in McCreary County and was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Blue Heron Church./ Surviving besides his wife are five daughters, Josephine Ledbetter of Winston, Oregon, Christine Martin of Roseburg, Oregon, Flora Pelcha of Portland, Oregon, Evelyn Winchester and Bessie Rose, both of Cincinnati; four step-children, Rosa Clark of Lowell, Michigan, Betty Ashcraft of Strunk, Ernest Watters of Alpena, Arkansas, and Sidney Watters of Stearns; two half-brothers, Maynard Wilson of Indiana and Kenny Wilson of hill Top; 17 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 21 in the First Hickory Grove Church with the Rev. Carmel Stanley and Rev. Hobart Vaughn officiating. Burial was in the Stearns Cemetery with Hickman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Kenneth Duncan, Leroy Pelcha, Curtis Rose, Freeman Martin, Bill Shelley and Gene Stephens./ Honorary pallbearers were Ray Clark, Columbus Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Truby Wilson and Emby Wilson.
