Willie Mae Winchester, 59, Pine Knot, died Sept. 19 at Good Samaritan Hospital 
Lexington, after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sept. 21 at 2 
p.m. at New Haven Baptist Church. Co-op, with Rev. Wendell Hill officiating. 
Burial was in Angel Cemetery.  She was born Oct. 21, 1920, in Stearns to the 
late Bill and Fannie Johnson Foster. She was a sales clerk at Duncan's Store 
in Whitley City prior to her illness, also a housewife and member of the New 
Haven Baptist Church.  Survivors include her husband, Arnold Winchester, Pine 
Knot; her children, Jerry Winchester, Commonwealth's Attorney for McCreary and 
Whitley Counties, Corbin, Eddie Winchester, Lexington, Sue Kidd, Pine Knot, 
Kaye McCall, Ryne, La.; 6 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ruby Spradlin, Revelo, and 
Pearl King, Stearns.  McCreary County Funeral Home was in charge of 
arrangements.
