Born Nov. 17, 1922, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Harrison Anderson and Nannie Withers. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lancaster, and a member of the deacon board, men's club and was a Sunday School teacher. He was a concrete finisher for 30 years and an employee at Old Bridge Golf Club. He was the widower of Aslee Withers. Survivors include his stepdaughter Anna Lois Davis; three step grand- children; and three step great-grandchildren. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Lancaster by the Rev. David McPherson. Burial will be in Lancaster Duncantown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garland Dismeaux, Jimmy Mitchell, Timmy Alcorn, Cecil Alcorn, Johnny Thomas and Walter Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Cecil Dunn, Oscar Jackson, James Davis, Arthur L. Dunn, and Gillis Dismeaux, Jr. Smith-Jackson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Lancaster. ______________________________
