Ore. Born April 2, 1921, in Bryantsville, he was the son of the late RIchard and Ida Stolts Woods. He also had lived in Danville and Nicholasville. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War and was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He worked for a telephone company in San Francisco, Calif. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, chaplain of Veterans of Foreign Wars, and member of the Hospital Auxiliary and Lake County Historical Society. He was a Methodist. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Tilley of Clovis, Calif.; a brother, Floyd Woods of Danville; a niece, Betty Watts of Harrodsburg; two sisters; and several grandchildren. Services were April 15 at Lakeview First United Methodist Church. Burial was in Sunset Park Cemetery with military rites by Lakeview VFW Post 4070. Desert Rose Funeral Home in Lakeview was in charge of arrangements. ______________________________
