WOODS, Jr., age 7 years, died yesterday, June 21, 1904, just before noon in the infirmary at Lebanon, Ky (Marion County). His death was sudden, as his father had left him only a short time before to go to church, feeling assured that the boy was recovering and out of danger. He was taken ill with scarlet fever in February, and complications arising, he was taken to the infirmary at Lebanon. He seemed to improve after a few weeks there, under the care of his mother and the nurses. Mr. WOODS spent one or two days every week with him, and yesterday left him for a short time, his condition showing so much improvement. The body will be brought to Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County) today, and the funeral will be held at 9:00 tomorrow morning from the family residence, 2109 Brook Street. The dead boy was an unusually bright, attractive child, and was a favorite with all who knew him. He was handsome, manly, and possessed the qualities which make a child attractive to old as well as young. Robert E. WOODS, Sr. was born and reared in this county, and is well-known here (Cloverport), and also in the county.
