Woodyard July 18, 1972 Bell County KyArchives Obituaries Pineville Sun - Bell County, Kentucky - July 1972 JACK C. WOODYARD Mr. Jack C. Woodyard of Pineville, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 1972, at the Pineville Community Hospital following a long illness. Mr. Woodyard was born September 23, 1908, in Bell County. He was the son of the late Vinten and Elizabeth Thompson Woodyard. Jack was a deacon and active member of the Arjay Baptist Church. He was a retired mine foreman and a life long resident of Bell County. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel Rogers Woodyard of Pineville; two daughters, Mrs. Frieda Saylor and Mrs. Laura Farmer, both of Harlan, Kentucky; a son, Edward L. Woodyard of Muckegon, Michigan; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio and Mrs. Mary Barrett of Harlan, Kentucky; a brother, Otis Woodyard of Cincinnati, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Crystal Durham, who died in September 1970. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M., July 21, 1972, at the Arjay Baptist Church with the Rev. Enis Harper officiating. Brothers-in-law served as pallbearers. Friends called at the Arnett Funeral Home Chapel. Arnett Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
