Thomas J. Yates, 81, died Tuesday, at the Toms Rivers, NJ Medical
Center. Born in Caseyville, he lived at Pine Ridge at Crestwood in Whitney,
NJ since his retirement in 1980.

Tom was an operator with the National Starch Corp for 31 years, also
a U. S. Army Veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Old Guard, the Audubon
Social Club, Lakeshore Lodge and the Residents Club of Pine Ridge.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Stella Sekso Yates and a
brother, Rev. George Yates of Sturgis, also nieces and nephews.

Services were held Thurdsay at 10:00 at the Manchester Funeral home
in Whitney, NJ.
