Mr. Tom Young died at his home in the Elbow Spring country, Wednesday night about 7:30 o'clock, in his fiftieth year. For several months he had been ill with Bright's Disease but after a long struggle against the dread complication, he gave up the fight and passed away last Wednesday. "Mr Young was an influential man of this community and was well known and favorably known through the county. He was a character that embodied strong moral courage and the firm and stable convictions that constitute the sterling qualities and strong traits of a splendid man and clever citizen. "The deceased is survived by his wife, who was Miss Dovie Honeycutt, and four children; two sons and two daughters. He was an uncle of Messrs. Wendell Honeycutt and Harry Dickerson, of this place. "The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon after which the remains were interred in the Peden burial ground near Temple Hill."
