Submitted by Sherri Hall NOTE: I have no connection, no further information and am not seeking additional information. >From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 4 Apr 2003 CRAB ORCHARD -- Samuel Alfred Zwahlen, 88, of Waynesburg died Thursday at Stanford House nursing home. Born Aug. 22, 1914, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Samuel and Maggie Schlappi Zwahlen. He was a farmer and a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Oliver Zwahlen; a son, James A. Zwahlen of Houston, Texas; two stepsons, Guy R. Greer of Lancaster and Simon Greer of Waynesburg; a brother, William "Bill" Zwahlen of Cincinnati; two sisters, Lillian Zwahlen of Cincinnati and Marie Stevens of Lancaster; four stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fairview Baptist Church by Gary King. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Memorials may go to Heritage Hospice, 337 W. Broadway, Danville 40422; or Fairview Baptist Church building fund, 6246 Ky. 1247, Waynesburg 40489.
