Forty of the county’s district schools are now in
session, for the term which will
last until about February 1st. Half the schools began Monday last week and
the
remainder began Monday this week.
The schools and the teachers for the terms now on are

The teachers will have a little more than a month of
school before the convening of the annual Teachers’ Institute here, which will
be held beginning Aug. 14, concluding the 18th. Prof. T. C. Cherry, of Bowling Green, will be
the Instructor at the Institute this year, which assures the teachers of a most
interesting and instructive session, as Prof. Cherry’s ability as a trainer of
teachers has won him an enviable reputation.
