This day came Luke Watkins before me and made oath, that the two negroes that he purchased of John Donson, on the 3rd day of August 1829 at the residence of William Baty, in the State of Tennessesse, and brought to this county, namely Gracey and Jim that he purchased and brought sd. negroes to this State for his own use and benifit, and that he has no intention of selling said negroes in this State
